About us
On the 1st International Congress 2007 at Esfahan University, the scientific board held many discussions on the project of a “Development of psychosomatic Medicine in Iran”. Amoung others, Dr. Abass Abtahi, Prof. Wolfgang Tress, Prof. Horst Kächele, Prof. Hans Rüddel, Prof. Jan Ilhan Kizelkhan, Prof. Harald Traue, Prof. Norbert Gürlke, Prof. Ulrich Stuhr, Dr. Said Moshref Dehkordy and Dr. Egbert Cardinal von Widdern took part in these talks, which brought about the idea of founding an association for the advancement of scientific and cultural exchange. The name of “Razi” was chosen because, approximately 1200 years ago, Razi’s therapeutic interventions were already based on a combined biological, social and cultural concept. Later on, Avicenna would follow this concept.
In the course of the project, the idea of founding an international association was developed further. On 7th April, 2009, the “Association Razi for Medicine and Psychosomatics” has been registered at Amtsgericht Siegen (Local Court Siegen) with the registration number 2943.

History
Diary of a Declaration of Intent and *Project Psychosomatic in Iran
The Idea and History for the Establishment of Psychosomatic Medicine in Iran are described in the following stepsOctober 2004
Dr. Moshref Dehkordy, born in Isfahan/Iran, studied in Germany,
presently specialised doctor for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the
Klinikum Lüdenscheid (academic training-hospital of the University of
Bonn) and lecturer in several Psychotherapy-Societies in Germany, takes
up contact with Dr. Zargerzadeh, responsible for International Relations
at the University of Isfahan in order to start a scientific cooperation
with the University of Isfahan
During this constructive conversation Dr. Moshref Dehkordy points out
the medical-scientific possibilities for cooperation in the fields of
paintherapy, hypnotherapy, psychotraumatology, neurology and especially
psychosomatic medicine
Dr. Zargerzadeh appreciates this possible cooperation and together with
Dr. Moshref he plans lectures for themes like paintherapy according to
the bio-psycho-social treatment-concept (psychosomatic), hypnotherapy,
psychosomatic medicine etc
Furthermore Dr. Zargazadeh mediates the contact to “Journal of Research
and Science”, a scientific journal of the University of IsfahanJune 2005
Dr. Moshref gives a lecture about paintherapy at the Nour-Hospital,
training-hospital of the University of Isfahan medical colleagues. In
following professional discussions with colleagues of the medical
faculty Isfahan the plans for the cooperation are intensified. In a
discussion between Dr. Moshref, Dr. Adibi (vice-chancellor for research,
Isfahan University of medical sciences) and Dr. Zargerzadeh the
cooperation and a direct connection between Dr. Moshref and the
scientific committee of the psychiatric discipline of the University of
Isfahan becomes establishedMai 2006
In a further session Dr. Adibi, Dr. Zargarzadeh and Dr. Moshref meet at
the University of Isfahan. Afterwards Dr. Moshref and his wife discuss
with Dr. Afshar (Medical Director of the Hospital of Nour, academic
training-hospital of the University of Isfahan) about further plans.
Within this talks the necessity of the development of medical
psychosomatic in Iran becomes evident for the first time. Dr. Afshar
announces his unlimited support for the development of this medical
discipline and points out, he wants to get everything moved to establish
the psychosomatic medicine in his clinic as long as he is on duty there
10.05.2006
Dr. Moshref writes (or issues) a concept of the psychosomatic in Iran
Agreement from Isfahan
10.05.2006
Dr. Moshref writes an article reflecting the themes of the past
discussions and describes the scientific view of the specialists in
comprehensive manner
11.05.2006
Dr. Moshref introduces his article and the concept to Dr. Zargarzadeh
and Dr. Afshar, which become accepted. Additionally as a short-term goal
for the year 2007 it is decided to organize the first Congress for
Psychosomatic Medicine in Iran
Agreement from Lüdenscheid
24.06.2006
After returning from Iran Dr. Moshref introduces his concept to Dr.
Zähres, the present quality-manager at the Klinikum Lüdenscheid, who
gives him advice for issuing
a Declaration of Intent. Afterwards Dr. Moshref issues the Declaration
of Intent as a “work-hypothesis”. Dr. Moshref submits his concept and
the declaration of intent to Professor Dr. Pullmann, medical director of
the Klinikum Lüdenscheid. Prof. Pullmann offers his support and gives
essential recommendations and advices, resulting from his wide
international experience and work. He furthermore recommends to involve
both clinic-directors, Dr. Hildenbrand, clinic for psychosomatic
medicine and Dr. Rosenthal, clinic for psychiatry and psychotherapy into
this project
July 2006
The concept is introduced to Dr. Hildenbrand and Dr. Rosenthal
Both clinic-directors point out their support for the realization of the
declaration of intent and the development of the psychosomatic medicine
in Iran

this case Dr. Moshref was supported from the German side especially by
Professor Pullmann, Dr. Rosenthal and Dr. Hildenbrand, from the Iran
side by Dr. Zargarzadeh, Dr. Afshar and Dr. Adibi. All of them brought
in many creative ideas
